STUDY GUIDE FOR SGM -


Must completely understand the job responsibilities of a SGM.

Must know the complete ranking structure from PVT to GEN?

Must have an understanding of all the tasks a SGM should be performing daily.

Explain how to handle a situation in which you have active member but they don't have the recruiting requirements for their next rank.

Must understand the Code of Conduct & why it is in place.

Must have an understanding what a Rank Suspension / Demotion.

Must be able to explain the steps necessary for recruiting someone into TWG.

Must have an understanding of how the Review Board & Returning Veterans Board (RVB) work.

Must be able to fully explain the importance of a chain of command.

Must know your chain of command from Company Commander to Creators

Must know what companies and battalion are within your division, and your current unit.

Have an understanding of what LOA means.

Be able to explain why company meetings are important and necessary.

Must be able to explain the process for recruiting a new member into TWG.

Must be able to explain what the most important job an officer can perform ?

Must understand why playing with your members REGULARLY the most important duty you can perform?

Must be able to explain when it is ok to jump the chain of command.

Be able to explain why communicating with your superior officers is so important.

Why should members be active on the twg.xippy.org forums?

Must understand what DNC/DNH list is and the consequences for having those members on your friends list.

Must be able to explain the daily job responsibilities of a 2LT.

Must have a complete understanding of the Code of Conduct.

Must understand what the Review Board is, how it works, and why it is important to have in our community?

Must be able to list every company in your division as well as every division within TWG.

Must have knowledge of what decisions can be appealed in the review board?

Understand the chain of command and its importance

Must know the rank structure from PVT to Creators

Must understand what LOA means, and how to start the process.

Must be able to explain the complete process for recruiting a new member into TWG.

Must be able to name everyone above you in your chain of command,

Have a complete understanding of how to motivate your members

Must completely understand how to build and maintain a successful platoon.

Be able to explain the transfer process between companies in your battalion.

What is the correct procedure for recruiting members from a different community who want to join TWG?

Must understand why is it important to attend company meetings and stay active on the TWG Gaming.com forums?

Be able to explain what a member must do when they have been Rank Suspended.

Must be able to describe the job responsibilities as a 1LT and the day-to-day tasks you should be performing.

Must be able to explain how to handle situations such as platoon leaders is not fulfilling his/her duties consistently.

Must be able to name everyone above you in your chain of command up to and including Creator.

Must be able to explain how to handle situations such as a TWG member talking about starting his/her own community.

Must be able to explain how to handle one of your members being blatantly disrespectful.

Must have an understanding of why the DNC/DNH lists are necessary.

Must be able to describe how you would go about re-building a company that has sustained losses and making it successful.

Must know how to go about getting members interested in attending company meetings.

Must be able to explain why company meetings are important and their purpose.

Be able to list all of the Company Commanders (CC’s) within your Division.

Must be able to describe what 'leading by example' means and how you lead.

Must have an understanding of the transfer process between battalions & divisions.

Must have an understanding of how to handle situations such as gossip, racial slurs, and harassment.

Must be able to explain your strong points, weaknesses, how to confront issues, and when to ask for help.

Must understand why is it important to have your members stay active on the TWG forums?

Must know the correct process for reporting violations of the Code of Conduct within and outside of your division.

Must be able to explain how to handle situations when none of your Chain of Command are online.

Must be able to explain how to successfully get new recruits for your company.

Must be able to share your vision for your company as a 1LT.
